We sadly announce the passing of Jack Mitchinson, aged 99, on June 9, 2024. Born in Niagara Falls on May 29, 1925, Jack’s life showed profound commitment to service. He served in the Royal Canadian Navy during WW2 and his community thereafter.
A Veteran’s Service
Jack served with honor on HMCS Lachute and HMCS Charlottetown as stoker. He participated in North Atlantic Convoy escorts. His bravery earned him respect and admiration of comrades. His dedication earned him respect and admiration of the nation he served.
