Eyewitness Suzann Pankala, a local resident, described the chaos. “After the shots, people and kids, many crying, ran from the park,” Pankala said. She added, “A little girl asked her mom, ‘Why do we have to go? We just arrived.’ It was chaotic.”

Five individuals, ranging in age from teenagers to around 40 years old, were shot during the event.
