Whoopi Goldberg celebrated the 30th anniversary of “Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit” on “The View.” She warmly reunited with the cast, including Kathy Najimy. Additionally, Goldberg brought together the child actors from the choir. Together, they recreated a memorable scene. It was the soulful rendition of “Oh Happy Day” led by Sister Mary Clarence, Goldberg’s character.
A Soulful Reunion
A touching moment was Ryan Toby’s return as Ahmal in the movie “Sister Act 2.” He sang “Oh Happy Day” again, stirring up memories. Then, the cast sang “Joyful, Joyful.” Tanya Trotter filled in for Lauryn Hill, adding to the emotional scene. Hill, who played Rita Louise Watson, was absent.
After “Joyful, Joyful,” Goldberg broke down in tears. The reunion included other cast members like Kathy Najimy and Wendy Makkena. It was a special moment for all.
